Slings & Arrows is one of the great shows of television’s New Golden Age, and one of its least known. It’s a tragedy, in that such a treasure of art and entertainment has in effect lain dormant, and all who have not watched it are so much the poorer for it. But we may still be captains of our fate!
In 2008 I got caught up in a Singularity frenzy and wrote several articles on the subject of computers reaching (and immediately surpassing) human-like intelligence. There was one for the Montreal Gazette, one for Urban Male Magazine (believe it or not) and a great one for Radar, which folded as a print mag just before my article. Not my fault!

My first article after a few years break was a political comment in the Ottawa Citizen on the (temporarily latest) Senate scandal.
They took out my favourite line, which had to do with ducks, but otherwise I’m happy with it.
The argument was pretty straightforward, but had really not been voiced.
The conservative mindset understands that power tends to corrupt. How far will we let it corrupt us? I have been involved in party work for more than a decade and I call on other party members to demand answers, or resignation from our leader.
